Qualificações

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Design from a reputed fashion institute.
• 10 years of relevant experience in women’s wear design.
• Experience with export houses, buying houses, premium fashion brands, or international apparel companies preferred.
• Proven experience with high-end/international brands through buying houses preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop women’s wear collections aligned with seasonal trends and brand aesthetics.
• Research embroideries, trends, colours, silhouettes, fabrics, prints, and surface techniques.
• Create mood boards, color stories, design direction, and seasonal themes.
• Develop new and commercially viable silhouettes, styles, prints, embroideries, and detailing.
• Prepare design sheets, sketches, tech packs, and production specifications.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, production, and sampling teams to translate concepts into garments.
• Review samples and provide feedback on fit, construction, fabric, trims, and styling.
• Ensure designs meet premium/high-end brand standards and international quality expectations.
• Manage multiple collections across timelines and critical paths.

Position: Fashion Designer Women’s Wear

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and commercially driven Fashion Designer – Women’s Wear with strong experience in export houses and working with high-end/international brands through buying houses.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of global fashion trends, premium aesthetics, women’s wear silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and garment construction. The candidate will be responsible for developing fashion-forward collections while ensuring designs meet the brand’s quality, commercial, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop women’s wear collections in line with seasonal trends, brand aesthetics, customer profile, and business requirements.
• Research and interpret embroideries, fashion trends, colours, silhouettes, fabrics, prints, and surface techniques.
• Create mood boards, concept boards, colour stories, design direction, and seasonal themes.
• Develop new and commercially viable silhouettes, styles, prints, embroideries, and detailing.
• Prepare detailed design sheets, sketches, tech packs, and specifications for production.
• Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, production, and sampling teams to translate concepts into finished garments.
• Develop and review samples, providing detailed feedback on fit, construction, fabric, trims, finishing, and styling.
• Ensure designs are aligned with premium/high-end brand standards and international quality expectations.
• Work on multiple collections and categories simultaneously while adhering to timelines and critical path requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, sampling teams, and factories to ensure design intent is maintained through production.
• Identify and develop suitable fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, embroideries, and other design elements.
• Participate in trend research, market visits, fashion forecasting, and competitive analysis.
• Maintain strong awareness of global fashion and retail trends across leading international and premium brands.
• Work closely with buying houses and clients to understand design briefs, buyer requirements, brand guidelines, and seasonal directions.
• Adapt designs based on buyer feedback while maintaining design integrity and commercial viability.
• Ensure all collections are developed within agreed cost, quality, and delivery parameters.

Preferred Experience

• Strong experience working with an export house / apparel export organisation.
• Experience working with high-end, premium, or international fashion brands through buying houses.
• Experience handling design briefs and collections for international buyers/clients.
• Exposure to working with buyers on seasonal collections, range development, sampling, and approvals.
• Strong understanding of export-quality garments and international fashion standards.
• Experience in women’s ethnic, contemporary, fusion, western, or premium fashion will be preferred.

Education & Experience

• Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design / Apparel Design from a reputed fashion institute.
• Experience: 10 years of relevant experience in women’s wear design.
• Candidates from reputed export houses, buying houses, premium fashion brands, or international apparel companies will be preferred.
• Candidates with proven experience working with high-end/international brands through buying houses will be strongly preferred.
