Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the Regulatory Reporting function and its deliverables in accordance with regulatory requirements, providing greater insights across all Capital metrics submitted to stakeholders. Work across Group, Country, Business and Change teams to improve reporting accuracy and drive initiatives to optimise Capital and RWA, thereby contributing to improving Group RoTE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Regulatory reporting function and deliverables in accordance with regulatory requirements, delivering insights across Capital metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Group, Country, Business and Change teams to improve reporting accuracy and optimise Capital and RWA.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, accuracy and completeness of reports with KPIs, establishing robust control and governance.
  • Resolve Capital issues in partnership with various teams and transition changes into business-as‑usual, building relationships across Change, Technology and Business.
  • Articulate Capital metrics and drive discussions with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and Business.
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate change governance across transformation initiatives, representing the function at governance forums.
  • Embed group values and code of conduct, identifying, mitigating and resolving risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Business & Technical Skills
  • Strong functional knowledge of the Basel framework (Basel II, III & IV) and Capital metrics computation.
  • Good understanding of banking products and the ability to relate them to risk‑weighted assets and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience using SQL for data interrogation and extraction; proficiency in SAS and/or Python a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory data‑management requirements such as BCBS 239 and PRA.
  • Advanced Excel (macros), Python/R, and balance‑sheet systems like Moody’s, Oracle, QRM.
  • Stakeholder engagement across geographies, people leadership, and management.
Qualifications
  • MBA in Finance or Master’s in finance/accountancy/economics; undergraduate degree in science/engineering/commerce.
  • Chartered Accountant or related professional certification in risk management a plus.
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in Capital regulatory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of capital regulations and metrics; analytical proficiency.
