Job summary

MG India, the strategic innovation and digital hub for MG, seeks a seasoned Head of Wholesale Market Intelligence to lead market, fund and sector analysis and deliver executive-level reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive high quality business and market intel to support strategic decision making for the senior business executives. Deliver funds, sector and market analysis and recommendation to various stakeholders in the Product, Distribution, and Investment areas.
• Drive the production of regular reporting outputs, focusing on accuracy, timeliness and meaningful insights.
• Deliver regular reporting including peer group analysis and Executive Committee updates for MG wholesale public funds, while fulfilling bespoke market insight requests from various business areas.
• Assist in delivering thematic research by analysing major industry and investor trends.
• Ensure MI inputs are embedded into key business discussions and planning materials to support informed decisions.
• Manage senior stakeholders expectations and service their requests with high quality analysis and on time delivery.
• Contribute to forward-looking market, sector and fund analysis.
• Support continuous improvement in MI processes, reporting efficiency and use of automation and visualisation.
• Support and contribute to team automation initiatives to improve efficiency and enable Sales teams to self-serve fund comparison request.
• Contribute to the strategic projects of Asset Management strategy and support strategic business plan of Investment business as part of the Distribution function in MG.
• Manage compelling deadlines, where necessary, to ensure commentaries are produced in a timely and accurate manner.

• Accountable for delivering high quality commentaries, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise
• Accountable for providing market and industry context for MG s three year business planning.
• Apply judgement to deliver outcomes, ensuring meeting of business deadlines
• Manage conflicts that may impact delivery
• Identify and anticipate need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
• Liaise with external providers such as Broadridge, Morningstar, and IA to handle queries and maintain organisational data accuracy

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Educational Qualification

Knowledge Skills :

• Extensive experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis or related roles within asset management.
• Good understanding of asset management products, distribution channels and competitor dynamics.
• Strong ability to synthesise complex, multi-source data into clear, commercially relevant insight.
• Experience using Morningstar Direct database
• Working knowledge of Broadridge/IA Echoweb/ eVestment database is desirable
• Knowledge of data visualisation platforms such as Microsoft Power BI
• Team management and project management experience
• Senior stakeholders management
• Good planning and prioritising skills
• Committed to achieving results independently and to deliver on time
• Strong verbal as well as written communication skills
• Rigorous attention to detail, planning and organisation skills
• Able to work both individually and in a collegiate and collaborative manner

Experience:

• 8-10+ years experience in Asset Management/ Wealth Management industry
• Experience in working with senior leaders and investment professionals across global teams

Educational Qualification:

• Post Graduate preferably with degree in Commerce/Business Administration specialised in Finance/Marketing/Operations
• Masters in Finance preferred
