Job summary

M&G India is seeking a cost reporting and analysis professional to join our Mumbai-based team. You will support transaction cost reporting, perform variance analysis, and ensure daily BAU activities meet regulatory requirements, while collaborating with client reporting and sales teams.

The role involves data analysis, incident resolution, and contributing to automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in cost data and management information.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Post-Graduate in any discipline with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong data analysis and numerical accuracy with attention to detail.
• Experience in cost reporting, variance analysis and client reporting.

Responsibilities

• Good understanding of Transaction cost reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure daily BAU activities are completed accurately and timely, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support client reporting/sales team by attending client calls pertaining to cost & charges queries.
• Ensure corrective actions identified as a result of incidents, breaches, near misses and external audits are fully completed.
• Participate in various automation activities.

Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)

• Good understanding of Transaction cost reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure daily BAU activities are completed accurately and timely, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.
• Ensure provides support client reporting/sales team by attending client calls pertaining to cost & charges queries.
• Ensure corrective actions identified as a result of incidents, breaches, near misses and external audits are fully completed.
• Participate in various automation activities.
• Propose solutions that could reduce time spent on BAU without affecting quality.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform oversight of costs and charges data for inclusion in templates: Perform variance analysis and cross checking of internal and external data Identify and resolve issues and errors found Calculation of estimated cost data Ongoing engagement of parties, Internal and external sign-off
• Query and Issue resolution: Respond to queries for complex breaks and issues
• Liaise with Technical specialists and TPA Gathering of MI on all inputs to process.
• Prepares management MI for management and responsible for managing to prescribed KPIs

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have)

• Has an organized approach, with an ability to manage monthly work-load peaks and prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Data analysis and exception reporting experience
• Highly numerate, demonstrating good analytical skills Controls focussed and has a methodical approach, demonstrating attention to detail
• Prior experience overseeing third party administrators, issue management and coordination
• Knowledge of costs and charges templates CTI, DCPT, EPT, EMT
• Knowledge of costs associated with investment transactions and fund operating costs
• Knowledge of the Investment Management process and a good understanding of different Investment Instruments pricing and valuation
• Self-starter with ability to recognise and develop longer term improvements

Knowledge & Skills (Additional)

• Knowledge of fund types and asset classes.
• Practical Experience in applying Advance Excel knowledge.
• Experience: Worked on CTI, DCPT and EMT templates.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate / Post-Graduate in any discipline with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
