Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership exposure.

• Strong expertise in Java, Python, JavaScript, APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern app architectures.
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed systems.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern digital solutions within our Investment and Money Movement platforms. This role will lead high-performing engineering teams, shape technical strategy, and build scalable, secure, cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams through effective hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Drive the technical vision, architecture, design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications.
• Provide technical leadership for complex software initiatives, ensuring quality, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, UX, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
• Lead solution design reviews, architecture decisions, and approval of technical deliverables across multiple applications and platforms.
• Oversee API integrations, data flows, and system interoperability to ensure secure and seamless application performance.
• Champion modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, microservices, automated testing, and cloud adoption.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, frameworks, tools, and development methodologies.
• Ensure production readiness, provide support for critical applications, and lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Establish and govern software documentation standards, technical processes, and architectural best practices.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
• Review and approve technical designs, system documentation, and architecture artifacts.
• Ensure compliance with Information Security, risk, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with global stakeholders, effectively communicating technical strategy, project risks, and delivery outcomes.
• Maintain a broad understanding of financial services platforms, digital banking, money movement ecosystems, and client-facing applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, maintainability, and overall software quality across the engineering organization.
• Contribute to strategic technology roadmaps and support the adoption of emerging technologies.
• Participate in special projects and additional leadership initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Java, Python, JavaScript, APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern application architectures.
• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Payments, Money Movement, Digital Wallets, or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, containerization, and DevSec Ops practices.
• Exposure to both front-end and back-end application development.
• Experience building client-facing digital products and financial applications.
