Job summary

Dyson is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to define architecture and roadmaps for scalable, secure cloud-native platforms. You will lead governance, design reusable services, and stay hands-on with coding while mentoring engineers and driving IaC and automation across multi-cloud environments.

Collaborating with engineering leaders, you will evaluate emerging technologies and modernize the platform to support AI, data, and developer productivity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
• Deep expertise in cloud and platform engineering across AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong software engineering skills with hands-on coding experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with Kubernetes, APIs, containers, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and platform operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

About the Team

The Platform Engineering and Infrastructure team builds and operates Dyson’s core technology platforms across cloud, infrastructure, developer experience, data, AI, and automation services. The team provides secure, scalable, and reliable platforms that enable engineering teams to innovate faster while adopting consistent engineering standards and best practices.
