Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an AI/ML leader to manage micro teams in India, scale AI agents and digital workers, and drive enterprise-grade AI solutions. You will collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into scalable, end-to-end platforms, delivering faster value while advancing the human+digital workforce strategy.

Preferred candidates have 15+ years in AI/ML roles, strong Python expertise, and experience with LLMs, vector databases, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering and 15+ years in AI/ML roles.
• Product mindset with ability to design solutions and own end-to-end delivery.
• Experience implementing AI agents, Gen AI, and RAG in enterprise settings.
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Codex, CoPilot) and open frameworks.
• Proficient in Python and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiar with NLP literature, REST APIs, Docker, and UI tools (Streamlit/Flask).

This role is a strategic investment to accelerate the transition from normal Scrum teams to AI-enabled micro teams. The individual will Driving enterprise-wide workforce transformation In India, manage AI/ML Micro teams and scale AI Agents, Digital Workers, and enterprise AI solutions, increasing delivery capacity, productivity, quality, and speed-to-value while advancing our Human + Digital Workforce transformation strategy.

Primary Responsibility:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science engineering. Overall 15+ years of experience in AI ML roles
• Product Mindset and able to work directly with business, take requirements, design solutions and take ownership of end to end delivery
• Experience in implementing real projects and developing AI Agents using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs , RAG.
• Experience in AIDLC framework and AI tools like Claude, Codex, CoPilot etc.
• Experience in implementing enterprise level Agentic solution using any of the open frameworks (Langgraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, etc.)
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation
• Experience in implementing real projects using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs , RAG.
• Experience in implementing enterprise level Agentic solution using any of the open frameworks (Langgraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, etc.)
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings.
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings
• Understanding of Both Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, flask etc , FAST APIs , Rest APIs , Docker containers
• Understanding of Both Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture
• Exposure implementing multiple machine learning and AI techniques such as supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, Deep learning, NLP
• Familiarity with NLP literature, thrust areas, conference venues, and code repositories
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, flask etc , FAST APIs , Rest APIs , Docker containers
• Proficiency in Python, pytorch , SQL and other programming languages for data analysis and modeling with atleast 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in libraries such as OpenAI API
• Proficiency with cloud development environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Proven good grasp of using LLMs, Deploying LLMs
• Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
