Job summary

Optum is seeking a senior AI/ML leader to scale AI Agents, Digital Workers and enterprise AI solutions in India. You will manage AI/ML Micro teams, drive Gen AI initiatives, and enable rapid value delivery with a product mindset. Strong experience in Python, LLMs, and cloud skills is required.

You will collaborate with business units to design solutions, fine-tune models, and deploy AI capabilities across the organization while advancing Human + Digital workforce transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML roles with hands-on delivery.
• Experience building AI Agents using Gen AI and fine-tuning LLMs.

This role is a strategic investment to accelerate the transition from normal Scrum teams to AI-enabled micro teams. The individual will Driving enterprise-wide workforce transformation In India, manage AI/ML Micro teams and scale AI Agents, Digital Workers, and enterprise AI solutions, increasing delivery capacity, productivity, quality, and speed-to-value while advancing our Human + Digital Workforce transformation strategy.

Primary Responsibility:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree or higher in computer science engineering. Overall 15+ years of experience in AI ML roles
• Product Mindset and able to work directly with business, take requirements, design solutions and take ownership of end to end delivery
• Experience in implementing real projects and developing AI Agents using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs , RAG.
• Experience in AIDLC framework and AI tools like Claude, Codex, CoPilot etc.
• Experience in implementing enterprise level Agentic solution using any of the open frameworks (Langgraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, etc.)
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation
• Experience in implementing real projects using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs , RAG.
• Experience in implementing enterprise level Agentic solution using any of the open frameworks (Langgraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, etc.)
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings.
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings
• Understanding of Both Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, flask etc , FAST APIs , Rest APIs , Docker containers
• Understanding of Both Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture
• Exposure implementing multiple machine learning and AI techniques such as supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, Deep learning, NLP
• Familiarity with NLP literature, thrust areas, conference venues, and code repositories
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, flask etc , FAST APIs , Rest APIs , Docker containers
• Proficiency in Python, pytorch , SQL and other programming languages for data analysis and modeling with atleast 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in libraries such as OpenAI API
• Proficiency with cloud development environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Proven good grasp of using LLMs, Deploying LLMs
• Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
