Optum India is looking for a senior AI/ML professional to design and implement enterprise‑level agentic solutions using Gen AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures. You will work with Python, PyTorch, SQL, and cloud environments to build scalable data pipelines and AI services.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, expertise in vector databases and Document AI, and hands‑on practice with Docker, REST APIs, and deployment of LLMs. Join a diverse, impact‑driven team in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering.
• Overall 5+ years of experience in AI ML roles.
• Experience in implementing real projects using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs, RAG.
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings.
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation.
• Understanding of Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture.
• Exposure to supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, DL, NLP.
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, Flask, FastAPI, REST APIs, Docker.

Primary Responsibility

• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science engineering. Overall 5+ years of experience in AI ML roles
• Experience in implementing real projects using Gen AI, Fine tuning LLMs , RAG.
• Experience in implementing enterprise level Agentic solution using any of the open frameworks (Langgraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, etc.)
• Experience with vector databases / embeddings
• Experience in Document AI / OCR / extraction solutions and structured output creation
• Understanding of Both Opensource and Open AI LLMs and RAG architecture
• Exposure implementing multiple machine learning and AI techniques such as supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, Deep learning, NLP
• Familiarity with NLP literature, thrust areas, conference venues, and code repositories
• Familiarity with UI tools like Streamlit, flask etc , FAST APIs , Rest APIs , Docker containers
• Proficiency in Python, pytorch , SQL and other programming languages for data analysis and modeling with atleast 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in libraries such as OpenAI API
• Proficiency with cloud development environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Proven good grasp of using LLMs, Deploying LLMs
• Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
