Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Manager, Consulting to lead a sustainable, profitable consulting practice aligned with business strategy. The role drives delivery processes for technology consulting and ensures client requirements are met through continuous improvement and strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include reporting to senior leadership, monitoring consulting activities, and guiding a team to achieve growth targets while maintaining service excellence in an on-site Bengaluru

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.
• Scaled Agile certification desirable.
• Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred.

• Ensures the delivery and optimization of consulting services activities and initiatives.
• Responsible for preparing and presenting consulting services reports to senior leadership.
• Maintains awareness of the external consulting services environment by analyzing industry trends.
• Proactively identifies and drives continuous improvement of consulting services strategies and standards in order to ensure the clients' requirements are met.
• Leverages relationship skills and knowledge of the client environment to assist and influence the client.
• Uses understanding of business objectives, market trends and client requirements to contribute to the development of a consulting service practice aligned to the business strategy and goals.
• Executes business plans, monitoring performance and managing expectations to achieve best business results.
• Works with internal stakeholders to execute a sustainable enterprise technology program.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field

Scaled Agile certification desirable

The Senior Manager, Consulting is a senior management role, responsible for managing a sustainable and profitable consulting services practice aligned to the strategy of the overall business.

This role creates and operationalizes delivery processes for technology consulting services to ensure that all aspects of enterprise technology strategies and solutions meet the client's requirements.

This role will also will proactively identify and drive continuous improvement of consulting services strategies and standards in order to ensure the clients' requirements are met.

This senior management role is responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture across the consulting team(s) within their remit.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensures the delivery and optimization of consulting services activities and initiatives.
• Responsible for preparing and presenting consulting services reports to senior leadership.
• Maintains awareness of the external consulting services environment by analyzing industry trends.
• Proactively identifies and drives continuous improvement of consulting services strategies and standards in order to ensure the clients' requirements are met.
• Leverages their relationship skills and knowledge of the client environment to assist and influence the client.
• Uses understanding of business objectives, market trends and client requirements to contribute to the development of a consulting service practice and that is aligned to the business strategy and goals and builds a seamless service operation.
• Executes business plans, monitoring performance and managing expectations to achieve best business results.
• Works with internal stakeholders to execute a sustainable enterprise technology program.
• Ensures that the required process, policies and tools relating to financial, people, marketing and delivery management are in place.
• Oversees the delivery of client requirements against agreed contracts for relevant consulting areas.
• Monitors the performance of a team of professional consultants to ensure achievement of consulting practice and overall business goals.
• Provides business advice and consultation services to clients when required.
• Works with internal stakeholders to set annual growth targets and manage the internal organizational impacts on the team in terms of resourcing, financing and up skilling.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.
• Scaled Agile certification desirable.
• Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred.

Required experience:

• Extended level of relevant experience in similar role within a related environment.
• Extended previous experience operationally managing and leading a consulting or related team.
• Extended experience dealing with clients and managing service levels.
• Extended stakeholder engagement experience at all levels in the organization.
• Extended project management experience.
