Job summary

ENGIE India is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the finance function for a multi-entity portfolio. You will oversee end-to-end accounting across project and holding entities, drive monthly close cycles, and ensure statutory reporting under Ind AS and IFRS in a complex, asset-intensive business.

The role requires 12+ years’ post-qualification experience, with 4–5 years in leadership and audit ownership. Strong governance, internal controls, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 12+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting, reporting, and financial controls.
• At least 4–5 years in a managerial role with direct team leadership, audit ownership, and stakeholder management.
• Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, consolidation, and Indian regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, and corporate tax.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, or another asset-intensive sector.
• Prior exposure to a Big Four audit firm or a large multinational is preferred.
• Ability to interpret contracts and assess their accounting and financial reporting implications.
• Additional qualifications in IFRS, SAP Hana, or data analytics are a distinct advantage.

• Provide technical accounting guidance on Ind AS, IFRS, and complex transactions including acquisitions, leases, and revenue recognition.
• Support Finance transformation through process standardization, ERP improvements, and automation initiatives.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, reporting, and financial controls.
• At least 4 to 5 years in a managerial role with direct team leadership, audit ownership, and stakeholder management.
• Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, consolidation, and Indian regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, and corporate tax.
