Responsible for the US-GAAP set of books for Rubrik and its Subsidiaries.
Ensure that the monthly close deadlines per the close calendar are adhered to. Activities include but are not limited to:
Monitor accounting deadlines daily.
Escalate issues to the corporate accounting team promptly.
Review and deliver account reconciliations, income statements, balance sheet fluxes, etc., to the corporate accounting team.
Supervise by demonstrating necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities for efficient processing.
Possess a strong understanding of multi-currency transactions.
Participate actively in IT-Finance projects related to automation and enhancements on ERP tools.
Identify opportunities for accounting and process improvements, focusing on streamlining, and drive their implementation. Develop more efficient procedures while maintaining high accuracy.
Collaborate with global accounting operations teams and cross-functional business partners to support department goals.
Drive and participate in global standardization of accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and review reports for global accounting operations management and cross-functional partners as needed.
Support internal and external audit processes by delivering necessary schedules.
Work with Technical Accounting for guidance on proper accounting treatments.
Review, develop, and maintain SOX controls, including risk assessments and updates in response to process, system, and policy changes.
Coordinate and ensure ongoing SOX compliance.
Review and update SOPs regularly.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational issues and present findings with solutions.
Ensure proper file/folder organization and data backups.
Meet process SLAs monthly and report on them as per prescribed formats.
Set and communicate annual, quarterly, and monthly team goals.
Establish performance standards and hold team members accountable.
Facilitate cross-functional interactions.
Maintain high motivation levels for efficient SLA delivery.
Coordinate with managers for performance inputs.
Conduct regular feedback meetings and identify training needs.
What you should have
Chartered Accountant / CPA / Post Graduation in accounting.
10-15 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting/Finance Operations.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
At least 6-8 years of global corporate accounting experience at a U.S. public company, including 4-6 years leading accounting teams.
Experience with month-end close processes.
Excellent communication, analytical, and written skills.
