Job Profile Summary
As a Technical Leader in Low/Medium Voltage, Protection and Control & Automation, you will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager and interact with all HVDC disciplines (Tendering, Sourcing, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, etc.) to support the design and delivery of LV Secondary scope for all HVDC projects worldwide. LV Secondary Engineering scope includes system architecture and deliverables definition, hardware design, control and automation, and protection. This role includes developing team talents and competencies, supporting engineering process application and improvement, providing technical guidance and mentoring, driving consistent design practices and common global processes for project implementation, and providing technical solutions that meet project delivery and tender objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead LV reference solutions and support the project team on key subjects.
- Requirement & Design.
- Engineering Design Process & Review.
- Reviewing and approving key technical documents.
- Customer interface and training.
- Support business tendering, operations, contractual and after‑sales needs.
- Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes for others.
- Play a key role in engineering design reviews and technical leadership, identifying potential project risks and technical weaknesses and proposing safe, reliable and compliant solutions.
- Execute and provide guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product/project requirements.
- Define strategies and roadmap for team development.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, lead small, low‑risk projects, and develop team consensus around technical topics.
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Take new perspectives on existing solutions and use technical experience for data analysis to support recommendations.
- Continuously improve product delivery speed, stability, and reliability.
- Be responsible for knowledge capitalisation.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in LV Secondary System design in HVDC projects or equivalent engineering field.
- Ability to understand and communicate customer requirements, own technical discussions with customers, and develop client relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects; ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Proven technical leadership in a complex system engineering development environment.
- Proven experience of cross‑functional technical leadership.
- Experience in knowledge management, knowledge capitalisation, training and mentoring.
- Decision maker and resourceful: capability to take decisions when needed and pull in experts as/when needed.
- Track record of designing quality systems/components that comply with safety requirements, exceed design requirements, beat cost targets, and exceed reliability targets.
