Job summary

Aka Logistics in Kolkata seeks an experienced liaison professional to coordinate with Indian Railways Headquarters, Zonal and Divisional Offices on Detention Charges and related issues. You will support our CHP-O&M teams across multiple Thermal Power Stations in India, review DC matters, and drive timely follow-up through railway authorities to ensure swift resolution and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with Indian Railways Headquarters, Zonal Offices and Divisional Offices on matters related to Detention Charges (DC).
• Support CHP-O&M teams across 45 Thermal Power Stations in preventing and mitigating DC incurred through Indian Railways. Review, monitor and follow up on DC related issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with relevant Railway authorities for reasonable waiver/reduction of DC levied by Indian Railways. Provide guidance and support to field teams on Railway procedures, compliance and DC-related matters.
• Maintain effective coordination between the Corporate Office, Power Stations and Railway authorities. Drive timely follow-up and resolution of Railway-related matters through appropriate channels.

Preferred candidate profile

Experienced Ex-Indian Railways professionals will be given the highest priority, particularly candidates with relevant experience and established exposure to Railway Headquarters, Zonal and Divisional Offices.

** The position will be based at Kolkata Head Office and will involve close coordination with Indian Railways along with supporting our Operation & Maintenance teams operating across all Thermal Power Stations clients in India.
