Job summary

Epam Systems in India seeks a Senior/Lead Solution Architect with deep Node.js expertise to lead design and implementation of large-scale, high-performance solutions for global clients. You will guide architecture from pre-sales to go-live, working closely with clients and internal teams.

You will mentor developers, define backend architectures, and collaborate with DevOps and front-end teams to deliver secure, scalable systems leveraging AWS/Azure/GCP cloud-native patterns.

Qualifications

• 18-27 years of experience in IT with a strong background in solution architecture.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, including event loop and asynchronous programming.
• Expertise in Node.js frameworks such as Express.js and related libraries.
• Skills in designing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
• Background in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth and JWT, and data protection strategies.
• Experience with cloud native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication in English.
• Experience mentoring and guiding developers on the team.

• Define and implement the architecture for backend services using Node.js and related frameworks, meeting architectural significant requirements (ASRs)
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, mentoring on best practices, code standards, and design patterns in a hands-on way, including peer programming with developers on the team
• Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards, and ensure maintainability, efficiency, and security of the codebase
• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver full-stack solutions
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize application performance, and ensure responsiveness
