ASSA ABLOY in Chennai seeks an Experienced JD Edwards Programmer with 10+ years of hands-on expertise in version 9.2, specializing in Applications, Reports, BSFN, BSSV, Orchestrations and UDOs. You will independently handle development tasks and resolve issues across ERP processes.

The role involves production support, CRP/UAT/Go-Live phases, data migration, and documenting technical specs, tests, and user manuals while collaborating with US and India teams to ensure timely, quality deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Develop JD Edwards tools (Applications, Reports, BSFN, BSSV, Orchestrations, UDOs) and perform program analysis, coding and testing.
• Understand business requirements, identify gaps, and design JD Edwards-based solutions aligned with standards.
• Document design specs, test cases, and user manuals; communicate with the US team and India team.
• Provide technical support during CRP, UAT, and Go-Live phases; assist data migration and validation.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.

Summary Of Responsibilities

Our ERP solution is based on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) and is a customized solution delivering ERP processes across our IT landscape.

Here are the common job requirements:

• Experienced in JD Edwards 9.2 implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects
• Skilled in developing custom tools such as Applications, Reports, BSFN, BSSV, Orchestrations and other UDOs
• Able to understand business requirements, identify gaps, and design solutions that align with JD Edwards standards
• Proficient in program analysis, coding, development, and testing
• Familiar with creating technical documents including design specs, test cases, and user manuals
• Responsible for documenting meeting discussions with the US team and sharing updates with the India team
• Provide technical support during CRP, UAT, and Go‑Live phases
• Prepare knowledge documents to capture gaps and ensure smooth handover to the support team

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in analytical thinking, technical problem‑solving, and systems design
• Certifications related to JD Edwards (optional but can be an advantage)

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE And/or ABILITIES

• C, C++, Java Basics, SQL
• Good Aptitude & Communication Skills with Presentation skills as well
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Skilled in analysing complex business requirements and delivering practical solutions that align with organisational goals
• Strong problem‑solving abilities in JD Edwards S&D, Manufacturing, Purchase and Finance modules, custom reporting, and system integration issues
• Experienced in data migration, including validation and transformation, with a focus on business data analysis to support better decision‑making and process improvements
• Strong ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams, including business, technical teams
• Skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining focus and delivering results under tight deadlines
• Committed to precision and excellence, with a keen eye for detail and a strong emphasis on delivering high‑quality outcomes
