Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru seeks an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to develop DO-254 compliant FPGA designs for DAL A/B projects.

You will lead and mentor small teams, capture requirements, and manage obsolescence for FPGAs, writing VHDL RTL and performing synthesis and timing analyses. The role requires strong problem-solving and collaboration across departments within a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics and Communication or VLSI).
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
• In-Depth Experience in Planning, Execution and Reviews.
• Expert-level knowledge in VHDL, SystemVerilog, etc.
• Hands on experience in designing with MPSOC and/or RFSOC FPGAs.
• Proficiency in scripting, simulation tools(QuestaSim, VCS, Aldec), and coordination of complex verification projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA based design from systems requirement for the new designs in compliance with DO-254 for DAL A/B projects.

Qualifications You Must Have *

Qualifications We Prefer

• Strong understanding of the DO-254 process.
• DO-254 audits and certification experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools like DOORS, Jama, Jira, or Polarion
• Experience with tool qualification, and process documentation.
• Experience in PCIe, ARINC-429, Mil -1553, ARINC-818, SPI, AXI, ADC interfaces.
