Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer (Hardware Design) in Bengaluru to drive the hardware development lifecycle for next-gen digital electronics in aerospace and defense.

You will lead schematic design, CCA development, signal integrity analysis, and qualification testing (DO-160, MIL-STD-810/461), collaborating with global teams to deliver robust hardware solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
  • 10+ years of experience across hardware development lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in digital electronics design, schematic capture and CCA design.
  • Experience with Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS and SERDES interfaces.
  • Experience designing DDR1/DDR2/DDR3 memory interfaces.
  • Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 testing.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to all phases of hardware development from concept to production.
  • Design and develop digital circuits and CCAs using schematic capture tools.
  • Perform hardware verification, testing and troubleshooting; ensure signal integrity.
  • Conduct timing analysis and ensure robustness of designs.
  • Support environmental and electromagnetic qualification testing.
  • Apply DTC+, DFM and DFT practices; maintain requirements traceability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver hardware solutions.

Job Overview

As a Senior Lead Engineer(Hardware Design) at Collins Aerospace, you will play a key role in designing and developing advanced digital electronic systems that power next-generation aerospace and defense technologies. What You Will Do
  • Lead and contribute to all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, from concept through qualification and production.
  • Design and develop digital electronic circuits and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) using schematic capture tools.
