Job summary

Upman Placements is seeking a Senior/Lead Engineer for Dry Utilities in Bengaluru. The role requires 8–14 years of experience in dry utilities design, with exposure to ME projects and coordination with vendors/contractors.

The candidate will work on base design through detailed design, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE, SEWA, and DEWA standards, and perform outdoor lighting calculations using Dialux. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
• 8-14 years' design experience in a dry utilities environment with vendors, contractors or design consultancies.
• MEA/Middle East project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE, SEWA, DEWA and ADDC standards.
• MV and LV underground power distribution and lighting design awareness.
• Experience with Dialux for outdoor lighting calculations.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, ETAP, AutoCAD and Dialux.
• Excellent English communication within an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver projects from base design to detailed design stages.
• Lead dry utilities design for infrastructure projects and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC/IEEE, SEWA, DEWA, ADDC).
• Oversee lighting designs and outdoor lighting calculations using Dialux.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet client requirements.

Role: Senior/Lead Engineer - Dry Utilities

Essential qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
• Minimum 8-14 years relevant design experience in Dry utilities engineering environment with Vendors, Contractors or Design Consultancies in infrastructure projects.
• Must have Middle east projects work experience in Dry utilities.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE, SEWA,DEWA and ADDC standards.
• Well aware of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage underground power distribution and planning.
• Well aware of external lighting design.
• Well aware of equipment sizing calculations.
• Working knowledge of software Civil 3D, ETAP, AUTO CAD and Dialux.
• Well aware of using Dialux software for outdoor street and external lighting calculation.
• Well aware of Pump Stations Electrical design works.
• Able to independently work on project deliverables from base design stage to detailed designs.
• Excellent English communication skills within the engineering environment.
