Job summary

C4Scale is looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to migrate large workloads across clouds and build scalable, reliable infrastructure. You will own the pillars of technology and strategy across engineering platforms and support 500+ microservices.

You’ll drive CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring while collaborating across geographies. The role requires deep Kubernetes expertise, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong scripting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of relevant DevOps Engineer experience.
• Expertise in at least one hyperscale cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) including networking, data, and workload management.
• Experience automating infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation; able to write modules, set up pipelines, and version code.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience or familiarity with GKE/EKS/AKS; knowledge of pods, deployments, networking, and service mesh.
• Experience with Grafana stack, Cortex, OpenTelemetry, and SLI/SLO platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git, SVN, or similar VCS; experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins) including runners, templating, and configuration.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools for security scanning of artifacts, infrastructure, and code (e.g., Qualys/SonarQube/BlackDuck).
• Scripting skills (Bash/Python); automation in pipelines and system services.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migrations of large workloads across cloud providers with minimal disruption.
• Build and manage scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure for distributed systems.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to speed up software delivery.
• Automate cloud resources with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible), and manage versions.
• Set up and operate monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Ensure migration security and compliance with relevant standards and audits.
• Model and promote technical excellence across engineering teams.
• Refactor code and architecture to maintain high-quality designs and performance.

About the Role:

At C4Scale, we are seeking passionate engineers to build a scalable platform and migrate large workloads across multiple cloud environments.
You will work in the group that owns, improves, and manages engineering productivity across the board and are responsible for the pillars of technology, science, and strategy across engineering, powering over 500+ microservices, leveraging cutting edge technology in cloud computing managing real time high throughput systems with a wide range of programming stack.

What You Will Do:

• Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of large workloads from existing cloud environments to new cloud providers, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Build and manage a highly scalable, reliable, and cost-effective application infrastructure, forming the backbone of diverse distributed systems.
• DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes, enhancing the speed and reliability of software delivery.
• Configuration Management: Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar for infrastructure as code to automate and manage cloud resources efficiently.
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the migrated workloads using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that the migration process adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and audits.
• Technical Excellence: Be a role model in technical excellence, helping engineers deliver top-quality applications without worrying about the underlying infrastructure.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance code quality and product performance through continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across multiple geographies, ensuring smooth integration and operation of cloud services.
• Knowledge Sharing: Share your knowledge and expertise to strengthen the team’s understanding of the platform so they can support themselves.
• Refactoring: Regularly refactor your work to maintain high-quality design and architecture, following industry best practices.

What You Will Need:
