Job summary

Northern Trust in Pune is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data stores using Snowflake, SQL Server, and Azure, enabling reusable metadata-driven solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of .NET, C#, Python, node.js.
  • Snowflake, SQL, Data Vault 2.0 or dimensional data modeling.
  • Experience with Data Pipelines, ETL/ELT, relational or columnar databases.
  • Sigma, Power BI or Tableau, Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • CI/CD pipelines and Azure cloud services.
  • Desirable: Airflow, DBT, Confluence, ADO; familiarity with buy-side finance ops.

Responsibilities

  • Build metadata driven solution that is reusable and highly configurable.

  • Partner with business analysts to groom stories and implement those stories.
  • Work on an agile team to quickly iterate and release solutions.
  • Provide technical advice andassistend-users in solving problems.
  • Continuously learn new skills and makeimprovementin the product.

  • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and 3+ years of related experience.

  • Experience with:

  • Experience with one or more of below is desirable:

  • Familiarity with buy-side financial operations and an understanding of related concepts (Portfolio Management, Security Master, Risk, Compliance, Accounting).
