Job summary

Jobtailor in India is seeking a finance professional to handle HFM consolidation, US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments, and statutory IFRS reporting for multiple entities. The role collaborates with diverse teams to ensure accurate, timely financial delivery and robust controls.

The incumbent will post journals, respond to audit queries, and support governance in a large matrix environment, with emphasis on analytics and BI tools.

Qualifications

• > CA Inter or graduate/post-graduate in commerce from a recognized university
•  Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
•  Finance/Audit experience
•  Demonstrate personal accountability and timely task completion
•  Able to operate in a large matrix environment (external candidate)
•  Strong accounting and finance knowledge
•  Good analytical skills
•  Familiar with AXP policies and systems
•  Proficient in MS-Office; experience with Workiva/Wdesk/Essbase/Oracle/BI tools
•  Knowledge of GenAI and data visualization/tools like Power BI

Job description

• Run HFM Consolidation for statutory and other reporting and work with the technologies team to resolve issues, if any
• Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP statutory adjustments
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries
• Post journal entries and implement spreadsheet controls
• Ensure effective controls and governance are adhered to
• Coordinate with multiple teams across American Express to provide external audit support
• Support preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP Financial Statements
• Support accurate and timely statutory financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP requirements for multiple international legal entities
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Requirements

• CA Inter (Preferred) / Post-Graduate/ Graduate in Commerce from a recognized university
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Finance/ Accounting/Audit experience
• Must demonstrate personal accountability in ensuring all tasks and activities are carried out on time and in accordance with requirements
• Demonstrate ability to operate in a large company matrix environment (if external candidate)
• Should have excellent Accounting and Finance knowledge
• Should have good analytical skills
• Knowledge of AXP Policies, Procedures and Systems
• High proficiency in MS-Office applications
• Working knowledge of Workiva/Wdesk/Essbase/analytical software/Oracle etc.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) and their application to reporting
• Hands-on experience developing analytics using data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, or similar platforms)
