Job summary

Navlakha Management Services in Pune district, Maharashtra, India, seeks a Senior Kubernetes specialist to manage and operate Kubernetes/EKS clusters, implement day-2 operations, and ensure secure, reliable delivery of container workloads.

The role covers modernizing deployments with Docker, Helm, and GitOps/ArgoCD, supporting hybrid on-prem and cloud environments, and driving observability and automation across CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Kubernetes/EKS clusters and day-2 operations.
• Strong Docker, Helm, and GitOps experience (ArgoCD preferred).
• L3 troubleshooting across pods, services, ingress, DNS, networking, and storage.
• Experience in hybrid/on-prem environments including node onboarding and health checks.
• Knowledge of IAM/RBAC, secrets handling, certificates, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Observability mindset: logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and incident RCAs.

Responsibilities

• Administer Kubernetes / EKS environments including cluster access, namespaces, workload deployment, scaling, and day-2 operational support.
• Build, deploy, upgrade, rollback and troubleshoot workloads using Docker images, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts and GitOps/ArgoCD patterns.
• Perform L3 troubleshooting across pods, services, ingress, DNS, networking, secrets, storage, node health, scheduling failures and failed releases.
• Support Hybrid EKS operations including on-prem worker node onboarding, node labeling/taints, workload placement, connectivity validation and health checks.
• Partner with application teams to modernize legacy workloads from VM/middleware hosting to containerized deployment models with clear migration readiness inputs.
• Implement secure operating practices across IAM, RBAC, least privilege access, secrets handling, certificate lifecycle, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Drive observability through logs, metrics, alerts, health dashboards and incident learnings to reduce operational risk and improve platform reliability.
• Use automation through Shell/Python, Helm, Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD integration to reduce manual effort and improve repeatability.
• Provide on-call support for priority incidents and contribute to RCA, corrective / preventive actions, audit evidence and operational runbooks.
• Maintain working knowledge of legacy middleware such as WebSphere/Liberty and Apigee to support transition-state operations and hybrid hosting needs.
