Job summary

iKomet is seeking a Senior Kafka Platform Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment and optimization of our Open-Source Kafka & Kubernetes ecosystem. The role focuses on scalable messaging, reliable data processing, and cross-team collaboration to ensure robust streaming pipelines.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and migration from Confluent to open-source Kafka, and will own platform reliability, security, and performance improvements across the stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Apache Kafka experience.
• 6+ years of Kubernetes/OpenShift administration.
• Experience migrating from Confluent Platform to Open Source Kafka.
• Experience deploying stateful applications on Kubernetes.
