Job summary

PradeepIT Consulting Services Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior Java Support Consultant to join its Bengaluru delivery. You will handle 24x7 application support, triage incidents, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex issues in Java/J2EE environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with web services, REST/SOAP, and cloud knowledge. You will work with tools like Jira, Maven, Splunk, and ActiveMQ to ensure reliable service delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in application support and maintenance using Java/J2EE.
• Willing to work in 24x7 support and rotating shifts.
• Knowledge of AWS, S3 and cloud is a plus.
• Strong communication, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Unix and shell scripting.
• Experience with code/version control (GitHub/TeamCity).
• Familiar with monitoring and application tools like Jira, Splunk, Maven, JMeter, SOAP UI.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Knowledge of JMS, clustering, failover, DR is preferred.
• Experience in Mule ESB or any integration project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 application support and maintenance.
• Analyze issues, perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with teams for incident resolution and deploy patches.
• Work with REST/SOAP web services in the Java stack.
• Assist with deployments, monitoring, and scalability tasks.
• Assist with JMS/ESB and integration related activities.

Job Description.

• Minimum 4 to 9 yrs. of experience in Application Support and Maintenance projects using JAVA, J2EE, spring framework, SOA, Web services, XML, REST web services.
• Should be ready to work in Support projects in 24x7 model, should be able to work in any shift, should be able to work in a team
• Having knowledge of AWS, S3, Cloud will have an added advantage
• Should have good communication skills, coordination capabilities, debugging, and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in Unix and writing shell scripts experience of integration with
• Must have knowledge in code version mechanism using tools like TeamCity, GIT hub
• Working experience on the continuous, monitoring and application tools like ActiveMQ, Jira, Maven, Splunk, Jmeter, SOAP UI, etc is required
• Should be able to analyze issues and find the root cause and make the team understand.
• Working knowledge with databases like ORACLE, SQL Server, MySQL
• Should have knowledge on JMS, Unix, writing shell scripts, patch upgrades, version upgrades, installation/setup of VMs, any software installations/setup as required in the support environment, and the code deployments
• Understanding and being aware of Clustering, failover, DR is required
• Application support and maintenance in Mule ESB or any integration project is an added advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
