Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in system administration, virtualization, and datacenter management.
• Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS/Azure; VMware (VCP) or Nutanix (NCP) advantageous.
• Hands-on with Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, Docker, and IaC tools.
• Exposure to cybersecurity fundamentals and network traffic analysis.
• Experience in large-scale datacenter or government/public-sector projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, vCenter, VCF) and Nutanix AHV clusters.
• Configure and tune vSphere HA/DRS/vMotion, vSAN, and Distributed Switches; monitor health with VMware Aria Operations.
• Design/test replication, failover clustering, and DR solutions (e.g., VMware SRM).
• Administer hybrid cloud environments on GCP and AWS; manage landing zones, IAM, and networking.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments for performance and security.
• Manage AD, DNS, and Group Policy; provisioning users/resources.
• Plan/execute patching of servers, ESXi hosts, and workstations (WSUS).
• Migrate VMs across platforms using Nutanix Move; build/deploy DC infrastructure.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell/Ansible; support Docker containerization.
• Manage firmware/drivers for datacenter hardware (e.g., Dell EMC).
• Prepare technical docs, SOPs, and status reports; coordinate with teams.

Job Title: Senior IT Engineer – Virtualization & Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

Role Summary: We are looking for a System Administrator who will lead the day-to-day administration, optimization, and automation of our enterprise virtualization platforms, datacenter infrastructure, and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and disaster readiness of mission-critical workloads, and will support large-scale datacenter projects for government and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and Nutanix AHV clusters (Prism Central/Element).
• Configure and tune vSphere HA, DRS, vMotion, vSAN, and Distributed Switches, and monitor cluster and host health using VMware Aria Operations.
• Design, implement, and test replication, failover clustering, and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., VMware SRM) for mission-critical workloads.
• Administer hybrid cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform and AWS, including landing zones, IAM policies, and network architecture.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux) environments for performance, security, and uptime.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, and Group Policy Objects, including user and resource provisioning.
• Plan and execute patching of servers, ESXi hosts, and workstations using WSUS, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Execute VM migrations across platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE) using tools such as Nutanix Move.
• Build and deploy datacenter infrastructure, including server installation, storage and RAID configuration, and OS deployment.
• Automate routine administration tasks using PowerShell and Ansible, and support application containerization using Docker.
• Manage the firmware and driver lifecycle for datacenter hardware (e.g., Dell EMC servers).
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and status reports, and coordinate with customer and internal teams.

Prerequisites:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in system administration, virtualization, and datacenter management.
• Desirable qualities:
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (or equivalent AWS/Azure certification); VMware (VCP) or Nutanix (NCP) certification is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Exposure to cybersecurity fundamentals and network traffic analysis.
• Experience in large-scale datacenter or government/public-sector projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Base Location: Noida, but flexible to travel (as per project and customer requirements).
