Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to deliver detailed instrumentation and control design for Oil & Gas projects. You will work within an established team to produce specifications, datasheets, and diagrams, while guiding designers and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Ideal candidates will have 14-20 years of experience in FEED and Detail Engineering, with strong knowledge of ISA/IEC standards and hands-on use of INTOOLS SPI and AVEVA Instrumentation.

Qualifications

• 14-20 years of detailed engineering and design experience for Instrumentation & Control works in Oil & Gas projects.
• Fully familiar with international codes, standards and recommended practices like ISA, NEC, NFPA, BS API, IEC.
• Hands-on experience in INTOOLS (SPI) software and working knowledge of AVEVA instrumentation.
• Experience in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering of field Instrumentation, Control & Monitoring and Safety Shutdown Systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Instrumentation engineering deliverables including Specifications, Instrument Datasheets, Material requisitions, Logic Diagrams, Cause & effects etc.
• Deliver instrumentation & controls design and drafting services meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Guide designers for modelling activity and communicate effectively.
• Carry out sizing calculations for Control Valves, Flow Meters, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Power Systems.
• Prepare Fire & Gas Detectors & Alarm Device Datasheets.
• Review engineering drawings and provide inputs on Instrument Location Plans and Cable Routing layouts.
• Produce Instrument Loop Diagrams and related interconnection diagrams.
• Lead interfaces with project team, Clients and Vendors to progress design scopes.
• Review Vendor offers and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports.
• Identify issues and develop solutions, and provide guidance to team as needed.

As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

The Role

As aSenior Instrumentation Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Preparation of Instrumentation engineering deliverables including Specifications, Instrument Datasheets, Material requisitions, Logic Diagrams, Cause & effects etc.
• Deliver instrumentation & controls specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, customer's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Able to guide the designers for modelling activity, having good communication skills.
• Carryout sizing calculations for Control Valves, Flow Meters, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Power Systems.
• Instrument cable voltage drop & Intrinsically Safe Circuit Calculations.
• Preparation of Fire & Gas Detectors & Alarm Device Datasheets.
• Inter-disciplinary document comments and reviews.
• Provide inputs and review of engineering drawings including Instrument Location Plans, Cable & JB Schedules, Cable Routing Layouts, Instrument Installation Details, Process / Pneumatic Hook-Ups, Interconnection.
• Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Fieldbus Segment Diagrams, Interconnection Diagrams, Instrument Loop Diagrams.
• Liaison with the Instrument Designers.
• Produce Systems Vendors’ modifications Scopes of Work documents.
• Assist in preparation of onshore and offshore site survey checklist as required.
• Attend interface meetings with project team, Clients and Vendors to progress design scopes.
• Review Instrumentation and Control Systems Vendors offers, prepare Vendor Technical Clarifications, and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
• Able to Lead the team and guide team members as required.

About You

• 14 - 20 years’ experience in detailed engineering and design of Instrumentation & Control works for Oil & Gas projects in similar position.
• Fully familiar with relevant international codes, standards and recommended practices such as ISA, NEC, NFPA, BS API, IEC, etc.
• Should have hands on experience in INTOOLS (SPI) software. Working knowledge of AVEVA instrumentation.
• The candidates should have hands on experience of multi-disciplinary projects in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering of field Instrumentation, Control & Monitoring and Safety Shutdown Systems, including DCS, ESD.
• and F&G, in the onshore / offshore O&G and petrochemical environment.
• Developing technical and practical instrumentation & controls design and drafting skills in the same or similar industry.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent.
