Key Responsibilities

• Perform design/analyses calculations related to wet utilities such as potable water, sewer, stormwater, highway drainage using governing engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Research and prepare design options and documents.
• Prepare engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, specifications and designs.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers and junior Engineers working on the same project.
• Act as a confident, positive individual, interacting with clients through meetings and presentations.
• Understand the project requirements for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Irrigation.
• Coordinate with Landscape team and understand landscape plan.
• Perform demand calculations (ET) as per the regional standards.
• Know Drip Irrigation and Sprinkler Irrigation system.
• Handle zoning including selection of irrigation devices and irrigation time.
• Conduct hydraulic design of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Irrigation networks using Water GEMS software.

Education and Professional Skills

• Bachelor's in civil engineering and/or Masters in Water Resources Engineering/Environmental/Hydraulics Engineering discipline.
• 8-18 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure engineering design particularly water, wastewater and storm drainage networks with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Strong report writing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication, initiative, motivation and a team player.
• Experience working internationally, especially Africa and the Middle East would be an advantage.
