Job summary

Boschgroup in Bengaluru is seeking a senior engineer with 7–10 years of experience in electrical/electronics/instrumentation to design microcontroller boards and drive peripheral circuits for consumer applications.

You'll handle requirement engineering, analog/digital design, power supplies, motor control, and interface protocols, with CAD tools and EMI/EMC compliance. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years experience in electrical/electronics/instrumentation domains.
• Experience in designing microcontroller boards and peripheral circuits.
• Experience in requirement engineering and board bring-up.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design, power supplies (Buck/Boost/LDO/Linear/Flyback).
• Experience in actuator and motor control (BDC/BLDC/stepper).
• Knowledge of interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Experience with CAD (Altium/OrCAD/Mentor Graphics) for schematic/PCB layout.
• Knowledge of BOM, thermal calculations, Spice simulations.
• Experience in EMI/EMC compliant design and layout guidelines.
• Experience in document prep (HDD, test plan, test report) and testing.
• Experience with DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger.

Responsibilities

• Design MCU boards and peripheral circuits for consumer electronics.
• Perform requirement engineering and create layout guidelines.
• Design analog/digital circuits and power supplies; BOM selection.
• Develop motor control circuits (BDC/BLDC/stepper) and interfaces.
• Conduct EMI/EMC analysis and spice simulations.
• Prepare test plans/reports and perform board bring-up and troubleshooting.

Experience: 7 to 10 years Qualification: BE/B-Tech/ME/MTech (Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation related branches) Experience in designing microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits. Requirement Engineering. Experience in analog and digital circuit design, board level power supply design (Buck, Boost, LDO, Linear, Flyback).Experience in actuator and motor control circuit design (BDC, BLDC, stepper). Knowledge in communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc. Experience with CAD packages (Altium/ORCAD/Mentor Graphics) for schematic capture and PCB layout design. Knowledge of components selections/design, BOM preparation, thermal calculations, and spice simulations. Experience in EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience in preparing layout guidelines and review. Experience in preparing documents like HDD, test plan, test report etc. Experience in board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting the electronic circuits. Experience in using equipment's like DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger. Experience in system level testing and validation of electronic products for Consumer application.Added Advantages: Experience in Mentor Graphics, Altium Experience in Electronic product development for consumer application. Knowledge on DRBFM, FMEA ,NOTI, Functional Safety design etc.Additional skill set: Ability to work in a multidisciplinary design team. Ability to interact intensively within technical team.
