Job summary

EY GDS in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Guidewire Consultant to work on global insurance projects. You will contribute across policy admin, claims, billing, and data streams, collaborating with EY teams worldwide on large-scale transformations and platform implementations.

Key responsibilities include advisory roles, delivering technical solutions, mentoring teams, and maintaining strong client communication. Travel may be required to client locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Guidewire GW PC/CC/BC Config / Integration and GW Digital concepts.
• Guidewire implementations and upgrades in the Insurance sector.
• Excellent business communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as Consultant / Technical Expert on Guidewire projects.
• Interface with onsite coordinators and communicate with customer representatives.
• Plan and monitor project deliverables and mentor project teams.
• Provide regular status reporting to managers and onsite teams.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.

Job purpose

• At EY GDS, you will get an opportunity to work on various Guidewire implementation projects for Global Customers.
• You will be a part of a team working across Policy Admin, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, Data, Digital and Actuarial
• You will collaborate with global teams across EY on large scale transformation, and platform implementation program

Key responsibilities

• Work in an advisory role as a Consultant / Technical Expert to contribute in various technical streams of Guidewire implementation/Integration project.
• Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
• Planning and monitoring of the projectdeliverablesfrom the team.
• Mentor the project team in executing the identified projects
• Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators
• Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed
• Travel to the customers locations on need basis

Experience Range

Key / Must have skills

• Experience in Guidewire GW PC / CC / BC Config / Integration / GW Digital. Thorough knowledge and hands‑on experience of various GW PC / CC / BC Config / Integration / GW Digitalconcepts.
• Guidewire implementations, and upgrades in the Insurance sector.
• Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Java 5+, JEE, XML, Web Services (Axis 2), SQL, ANT
• Strong in Pl/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, any Enterprise Messaging System
• Should have strong knowledge and experience on Tomcat and or Websphere/Weblogic
• Real time knowledge and experience on enterprise system integration, Preferably from Insurance domain background
• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices.

• Prior Client facing experience
