Kake is a remote-first, people-first global community of senior engineers. We are seeking Senior Golang Engineers to design and deliver high-performance backend services, owning complex distributed systems end-to-end while collaborating with product, frontend, platform, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise building backend systems in Golang.
• Solid understanding of Go's concurrency model (goroutines, channels), testing, profiling, and idiomatic Go practices.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures, with experience in high-traffic environments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and scalable data modeling.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native apps on GCP or AWS, with production Kubernetes experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for Senior Golang Engineers highly skilled in designing and delivering high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems. What you’ll build and own

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on expertise building backend systems in Golang.
• Solid understanding of Go's concurrency model (goroutines, channels), along with testing, profiling, and idiomatic Go practices.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures, with a proven track record in high‑traffic, large‑scale environments.

• Experience building and operating cloud‑native applications on GCP or AWS, with production experience on Kubernetes.

Nice‑to‑Have

• Professional experience building frontend applications using React.js, Next.js, and GraphQL.
• Experience building recommendation systems, personalization engines, or search infrastructure.
• Familiarity with large‑scale consumer‑facing products serving millions of users.
• Experience working in high‑growth environments where scalability, reliability, and user experience are critical.
• Comfortable working flexible hours to overlap with distributed teams across different time zones.
