Job summary

Sandoz India is seeking a Data Engineer - Databricks to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architectures supporting GxP, GDPR compliance, and industry standards. You will work with Stakeholder Success Teams to translate data needs into scalable solutions.

The role requires a strong background in data engineering within the pharmaceutical context, expertise in Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and Python, and solid SQL and ETL knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong background in the pharmaceutical industry and its related data
• Proficiency with Databricks, pyspark, AWS and Python.
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with big data technologies
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines on Databricks.
• Collaborate with domain specific Stakeholder Success Teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with data architects for the data modelling through bronze, silver, gold layer
• Collaborate with source teams and other dependent teams to ensure smooth and successful integration.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources.
• Implement data security and compliance best practices.
• Monitor data pipeline performance and conduct necessary maintenance and updates.
• Document data pipeline processes, technical specifications and data models.
