Job summary

Sarveksha BSTP SAS seeks an experienced Senior Geologist – Bauxite to lead geological exploration, evaluation, modelling, and mine development for Cameroon projects. You will drive sampling, logging, and resource estimation while coordinating with Mining, Survey, Lab, and Exploration teams in a remote mine-site setting.

Required are 8–12+ years in bauxite geology, strong leadership, and proficiency in Micromine, Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, and ArcGIS/QGIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Mining Geology, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of relevant geological experience, preferably with bauxite.
• Experience in bauxite geology, exploration, resource evaluation, and grade control.
• Experience with Micromine, Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/QGIS or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise bauxite exploration and geological activities at the project/site.
• Conduct geological mapping, interpretation, and identification of bauxite deposits.
• Plan and supervise drilling, trenching, pitting, sampling, and logging.
• Ensure proper collection, handling, labelling, and documentation of geological samples.
• Analyse geological and assay data to evaluate bauxite quality, thickness, continuity, and grade.
• Prepare geological sections, plans, maps, and 3D geological models.
• Assist in mineral resource estimation and resource classification.
• Monitor and maintain accurate geological databases and records.
• Coordinate with Mining, Survey, Laboratory, and Exploration teams for project execution.
• Support mine planning and provide geological inputs for grade control and ore/waste delineation.
• Monitor geological conditions during mining and identify changes in orebody characteristics.
• Review laboratory results and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed.
• Prepare regular geological reports, technical presentations, and project updates for management.
• Ensure all geological activities comply with HSE standards and local regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior geologists and field teams.

Sarveksha BSTP SAS is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist – Bauxite to lead and supervise geological exploration, resource evaluation, geological modelling, and mine development activities for bauxite projects in Cameroon.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in bauxite exploration and mining, with a sound understanding of geological mapping, drilling, sampling, resource estimation, and grade control.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience in bauxite geology, exploration, resource evaluation, and grade control.
• Experience in African mining projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of geological logging, sampling, QA/QC, assay interpretation, and resource estimation.
• Experience with geological software such as Micromine, Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/QGIS, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of geological databases and 3D geological modelling.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in remote mine-site and field environments.
