Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced professional to lead and develop the Water department, driving strategy, policy implementation and project delivery across major infrastructure initiatives.

The role focuses on client relationship growth, risk management, budget development and coordinating with large public sector and private clients to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Environment/Water Resources or related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement best practices in Water department to improve business performance.
  • Ensure strategies and processes meet objectives for price, quality and delivery.
  • Establish long-term client relationships for repeat engagements.
  • Provide leadership to the department and develop a high-performing team.
  • Provide optimum design solutions and risk mitigation during pre/post-bid stages.
  • Review and finalize schedules to meet contractual requirements.
  • Monitor progress and design quantities regularly.
  • Obtain timely approvals from clients for deliverables.
  • Understand customer needs to enable quality service delivery.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and maintain positive communication.
  • Optimize resources and manage multiple tenders and operating jobs.

Job Description
  • Create and implement best practice in Water department, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
  • Ensure that strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Client relationship management and establish long term relationships for repeat engagements.
  • Provide leadership to department under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
  • To provide optimum design solutions, technology selection, identification and mitigation of risk during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
  • Review & finalize schedules to meet contractual requirements.
  • Monitor progress and design quantity regularly.
  • To get Timely approvals of deliverables from customer/client consultants for timely completion of projects.
  • Interact understand customer’s needs and expectations to enable the effective delivery of quality services.
  • Responsible for responding to all customer enquiries promptly, positively.
  • Resource optimization & time management to handle various jobs (tenders & operating jobs) running concurrently to meet the timeline for submission of deliverables as required.
  • Cost Control by constantly monitoring the actual quantities during post bid engineering are not exceeding the tender quantities.
Qualifications

Graduate in relevant engineering and Master’s Degree in Environment/ Water Resources or a related discipline.

Additional Information
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing complex projects.
  • 15-20 years experience in the sectors such as water, waste water, solid waste management, public health engineering, irrigation, and/or urban infrastructure.
  • A proven track record of working on complex, large scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of coordinating with major clients and government authorities
  • Experience developing and managing complex budgets and pricing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage risk
