Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AI-driven Data and Analytics Engineer to design and implement Copilot-enabled enterprise solutions integrated with Power BI, Agentic AI frameworks, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
This role combines Generative AI, data engineering, and intelligent analytics, enabling autonomous insights and conversational decision support for enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Copilot & Power BI Integration

• Design and implement Copilot extensions for Power BI to enable natural language query generation, DAX assistance, and AI-driven dashboard creation.
• Build and manage semantic data models with AI context layers for adaptive insights.
• Develop Power BI dataflows, direct queries, and semantic models connected to Snowflake, Databricks, Iceberg, or S3.
• Implement Copilot plug-ins using Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, or custom LLM APIs.

2. Agentic Framework Development

• Build autonomous AI agents for data preparation, insight generation, and report optimization using LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
• Integrate agent actions with data pipelines, governance APIs, and Copilot prompts.
• Implement role-based agents - Data Analyst Agent, BI Optimizer Agent, Governance Agent.

3. MCP (Model Context Protocol) & System Interoperability

• Design MCP adapters for Power BI, data warehouses, and Copilot environments.
• Implement context sharing across AI copilots using embeddings, metadata, and vector memory.
• Work with vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Chroma for enriched memory contexts.

4. Data Platform & Toolchain

• Collaborate with data engineering teams using Snowflake, Iceberg, Presto/Trino, dbt, and Kafka/Flink.
• Implement data observability, lineage, and governance within Copilot workflows.
• Optimize Power BI gateways, Fabric pipelines, and Synapse integrations for performance and scalability.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Data Scientists, Cloud Engineers, and Product Teams to embed AI copilots and agentic features.
• Contribute to AI safety, compliance, and audit frameworks.
• Lead Proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and architecture reviews for LLM + Power BI initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data, BI, or AI Engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Power BI (DAX, Fabric, data modeling) and Azure/OpenAI Copilot integrations.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, C#, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks - LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI.
• Understanding of RAG pipelines, LLM prompt engineering, and context memory design.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and vector databases.
• Proficient with Snowflake, Iceberg, Kafka, Flink, dbt, and Presto/Trino.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate / Fabric Expert.
• Experience building custom Copilot plug-ins or M365 extensions.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, and compliance.
• Exposure to OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, or GCP Gemini APIs.
