Job summary

Gallagher & Mohan is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant with strong Private Equity fund accounting experience to join its finance team. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Investor Relations in a fast-paced investment environment.

Responsibilities include monthly close, financial reporting, cash management, and investor reporting. The candidate should have 4+ years in PE fund accounting and proficiency in Excel and Yardi or similar systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience in Private Equity, Funds or Alternative Investments.
• Strong grounding in fund accounting and multi-entity structures.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS and INDEX/MATCH.
• Experience preparing consolidated and combined financial statements.
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and multi-ledger environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close and quarter-end financial reporting for multiple investment fund entities.
• Prepare financial statements, investor capital activity reports, fund performance metrics, and IRR calculations.
• Record and review general ledger transactions across multi-entity structures.
• Prepare and review account and bank reconciliations and capital allocation schedules.
• Support investment and debt reporting, cash management, and treasury processes.
• Assist with management fee calculations, covenant reporting, tax reporting, and investor requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist auditors during annual audits.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close and quarter-end financial reporting for multiple investment fund entities.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and capital allocation schedules.

• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve financial reporting discrepancies.
• Prepare audit schedules and work closely with external auditors during annual audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA (USA).
• 4+ years of accounting experience within Private Equity, Investment Funds, or Alternative Investments.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting structures.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, and financial analysis functions.
• Experience preparing consolidated and combined financial statements.
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and multi-ledger environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience using Yardi or other accounting GL and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptionally process- and detail-oriented.
• Flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of investors', partners', and internal affairs.

You Must Have

• 4+ years of accounting experience in Private Equity / Fund Accounting.
• Strong grounding in fund accounting and multi-entity structures.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• CA / CPA / Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
