Job summary

CSC seeks a Senior Associate/Assistant Manager - Private Equity to join a client-facing fund services team. The role focuses on complex fund structures and multi-asset class accounting across jurisdictions, delivering accurate NAVs, allocations and investor reports.

You will engage with global hedge funds, private equity and debt fund clients, manage master-feeder structures, and ensure timely financial statements while collaborating in a hybrid setup based in Mumbai/Bangalore.

Qualifications

• Masters in Finance & Accounting or CA is preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets with at least 4+ years in Private Equity / Financial Reporting.
• Experience in working across country lines in a multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of private equity/debt fund structures, SPVs, master-feeder funds and the role of each entity.
• Handling investors classes, GP class, carry class, affiliated/non-affiliated classes.
• Recording investors commitments and accounting for initial/subsequent/late closings.
• Processing capital activities (subscription, redemption, transfers, switches) and related notices.
• Booking trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts.
• Preparing monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks and allocations, including P&L rebalancing and waterfall methods.
• Computing management fees, preferred returns and carried interest.
• Calculating IRR, TWRR and investment multiples.
• Managing investor and fund-level reporting and ILPA reporting (optional).
• Interacting with clients on accounting/operational issues.

The Position

This position is for a member of the client facing fund services team catering to Global Hedge Fund, Private Equity & Debt Fund clients. The fund services team deals with complex fund structures along with multiple asset classes across jurisdictions with specialized accounting services

Roles & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of private equity/ debt fund structures designs & hierarchies, Special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, master-feeder funds and the role of each entity in the fund structure
• Knowledge on the role of Investors’ classes, GP class, carry class, Affiliated / Non-affiliated classes.
• Recording investors commitments and knowledge on accounting of initial/subsequent/late closings.
• Processing capital activities i.e. subscription, redemption, transfers, switches. Preparing call and distribution notices, wire details and related schedules. Processing and understanding the role of Master-feeder capital transactions
• Responsible for booking trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks and economic allocations, knowledge on PNL rebalancing and European & American waterfall methods
• Computation of management fees in various periods, preferred returns and carried interest computations
• Knowledge of various ratios viz. Internal rate of return, Time weighted return, Investment multiple
• Handling Investor reporting, Fund level reporting and ILPA reporting (optional)
• Interacting with clients on various accounting/operational issues
• Knowledge of Operations and accounting of Bank debts, TRS, MBS, CLO instruments

You’re Profile

• Preferred Masters in Finance & Accounting or Chartered Accountant
• 5-10yrs experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets Industry with min 4+yrs work experience in Private Equity / Financial Reporting
• Experience in working across country lines and operating in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure
• Demonstrable accomplishments relating to organizational change activities in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work in fast paced dynamic industry
• Positive attitude, team player, pro-active and ready to accept challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
