Job summary

Dynatech Systems in Ahmedabad is seeking a Senior Business Analyst specialized in Manufacturing with deep D365 F&O know-how. You will bridge manufacturing teams and our technical team, shaping the solution from requirements to go-live and beyond.

The role requires 4+ years in D365 F&O, two end-to-end implementations, and strong skills in Production, Planning, WMS, Quality, Inventory, and Costing. You will run workshops, document designs, and support MES integration where applicable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in D365 F&O or Dynamics AX as a functional consultant with a manufacturing focus.
• Experience in at least two end-to-end D365 F&O manufacturing implementations.
• Expertise in Production, Planning, Warehouse Management, Quality, Inventory Management and Inventory Costing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their linkage to finance and costing.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with global teams.

Senior Business Analyst Manufacturing Functional Expert (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations)

Location / Work Mode: Ahmedabad (work from office). Work from home may be considered, depending on the interview.

Experience: 4+ years in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), with a strong focus on Manufacturing.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst who is a Manufacturing Functional Expert. This is not a general Supply Chain position. We need someone who understands how a manufacturing company works day to day and can set up D365 to support it.

You will be the link between our clients' manufacturing teams and our technical team. You will understand what the client needs, design the right solution in D365, and guide the project from start to go-live and beyond.

What You Will Do

• Understand clients' manufacturing needs and turn them into clear, practical solutions in D365.
• Lead workshops and discussions with clients to review their current processes and identify where D365 fits and where it does not.
• Prepare clear project documents, including business requirements, functional requirements, functional designs and process flows.
• Set up and implement the Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, Inventory and Inventory Costing areas of D365.
• Recommend solutions that use standard D365 features and follow industry best practice, and explain the business impact of any gaps.
• Work with the technical team on customizations and integrations, and make sure the final solution meets the client's needs.
• Support data migration, system testing and user acceptance testing, and make sure issues are resolved.
• Train client users, prepare user guides and help the client's team adopt the new system.
• Support go-live and look after the client after go-live.
• Keep clients informed, manage their expectations and build strong working relationships.
• Work with onshore and offshore teams to deliver on time and with quality.
• Flag project risks and process issues early, and suggest practical ways to resolve them.
• Where applicable, support MES implementation.

Expertise We Require

The candidate must have strong, proven project experience in the following areas of D365 F&O:

• Production – managing how products are made: bills of materials, production routes, production orders, scheduling and production costs.
• Planning – deciding what to produce and buy, how much and when, based on demand, stock levels and production capacity.
• Warehouse Management (WMS / Advanced Warehouse Management) – running the warehouse efficiently: receiving, storing, picking and moving raw materials and finished goods.
• Quality – checking quality at receiving, during production and before shipping, and handling products that fail checks.
• Inventory Management – keeping accurate stock records, tracking batches and serial numbers, stock counts and adjustments.
• Inventory Costing – valuing stock correctly using methods such as standard cost, FIFO and weighted average, and ensuring production costs flow accurately into finance.

Experience and Skills Required

• 4+ years of experience in D365 F&O or Dynamics AX as a functional consultant, with a strong focus on manufacturing.
• Experience in at least two end-to-end D365 F&O manufacturing implementations, from requirements through to go-live and support.
• Proven expertise in Production, Planning, Warehouse Management (WMS), Quality, Inventory Management and Inventory Costing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and how they connect to finance and costing.
• Strong skills in business analysis, documentation, solution design and client communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well with teams in different locations.

Good to Have

Having experience in MES (Manufacturing Execution System) implementation will be an added advantage. An MES helps run and track production on the shop floor in real time. Experience in any of the following is valuable:

• Setting up shop floor systems so operators can start and stop jobs, report output and record materials used.
• Capturing real-time information on labor, machine time, scrap and downtime, and reflecting it accurately in production and cost records.
• Connecting MES with D365 production, inventory and quality processes.
• Training shop floor users and supporting testing and go-live.
• Experience in Product Information Management, Procurement and Sales modules.
