Job summary

HyPlus Group is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute across the full development lifecycle. You will engage in requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing, while producing clear documentation.

The role involves collaborating with distributed, international teams where English is the primary communication language. The position emphasizes Java 17+, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and modern tooling, in a Linux/Docker environment, with emphasis on REST APIs and UI testing

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java (17+)
• Experience with Angular
• Experience with Cypress or similar UI testing frameworks
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Solid knowledge of Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with SQL databases, particularly MySQL
• Ability to write SQL queries and work with Flyway
• Experience with REST APIs and backend service development
• Experience with Maven build system
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Proficiency with IntelliJ IDEA
• Experience working with Git and standard development workflows

Job description

You will be responsible for various activities throughout the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements engineering, software and system design, implementation, testing, and documentation. The specific scope of your tasks will depend on the project and your experience and will be discussed individually. You will collaborate in distributed, international teams where English is the primary language of communication.

Requirements:

Must-have:

• Strong experience with Java (17 or newer)
• Experience with Angular
• Experience with Cypress or similar UI testing frameworks
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Solid knowledge of Hibernate / JPA
• Experience working with SQL databases, particularly MySQL
• Ability to write SQL queries and work with database migration tools (e.g., Flyway)
• Experience with REST APIs and backend service development
• Experience with Maven build system
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Proficiency with modern development tools such as IntelliJ IDEA
• Experience working with Git and standard development workflows

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Groovy, particularly for automated testing
• Familiarity with Flyway database migration tool
• Experience with SOAP-based integrations
• Familiarity with IBM Liberty Application Server
• Experience working with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Bamboo
• Experience developing applications in Docker-based local environments
