About the Job: HEROIC Cybersecurity ( HEROIC.com ) is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Laravel Developer to help manage the development of advanced SaaS-based cybersecurity platforms. This role is ideal for a highly skilled full-stack developer who thrives in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and intelligent web applications.

As a senior developer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the full application stack — from backend PHP/Laravel to front-end implementation, database design, DevOps, and production systems. You’ll also leverage AI tools and workflows to streamline development, reduce bugs, and accelerate time to deployment.

This position operates during U.S. Pacific Time business hours (9 AM to 6 PM PT) and requires full system accountability, including daily bug fixes, server and database management, and security patching. We expect this position to spend their time in the following manner: 80% coding, 10% architecting, and 10% team communication.

What you will do:

Full-stack development for HEROIC's SaaS cybersecurity platform (Laravel, MySQL, Vue/JS, Postgres, Cassandra)
Leverage AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve velocity, code quality, and maintainability
Own daily bug triage, security patching, and hotfix resolution
Proactively help manage servers and databases (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra)
Collaborate cross-functionally with U.S.-based management, product teams, and India based engineers
Research and integrate third-party APIs, tools, and AI services
Write clean, well-documented, testable code and implement automated testing where feasible
Stay up-to-date with Laravel ecosystem, AI-assisted coding trends, and security best practices
Participate in daily standups, planning meetings, and post-release reviews
Ensure that a secure software development lifecycle is followed to develop our SAAS based cybersecurity platforms
Take ownership in the development of HEROIC’s software applications, and technical environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 8 years years of full-stack PHP development experience, with 3 years in Laravel
Deep expertise in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript (Vue.js or similar), Git, and RESTful APIs
Experience with server and database management (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
Strong familiarity with AI-enhanced coding tools and modern DevOps workflows (CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
Experience in a security-focused or SaaS product environment is a strong plus
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable working independently during 9:00am-6:00pm (Pacific Time) U.S. hours and owning mission-critical systems
