Job summary

Optum India in Hyderabad is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React. You will build and consume APIs, develop microservices, and deploy scalable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions, participate in reviews, and drive performance and security improvements across the stack.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, AKS, Storage and Key Vault.
• Strong in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS and modern UI practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps in cloud-native environments.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
• Familiar with AI-assisted coding and testing tools and event-driven patterns.
• Understanding of security, reliability, and scalable software design.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, GraphQL and microservices
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in system design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
• Ensure application security, reliability, and operational excellence
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation opportunities to improve development productivity and software quality

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, App Insights, etc.
• Experience with React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience using AI-assisted coding and testing tools
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms
• Solid proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of software design principles, integration patterns, and application security
