Job summary

SPG Consulting in Pune, India seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with strong frontend and backend expertise across modern frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.

You will work across frontend, backend, database, cloud, and DevOps layers, contribute to system design, write tests, mentor teammates, and promote engineering best practices in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in full-stack development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience across both frontend and backend technologies, with expertise in modern frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.

Frontend

• Strong experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
• Knowledge of frontend state‑management frameworks such as Redux, Context API, or equivalent.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks.
• Strong experience with one or more:
• Node.js / Express.js
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and distributed systems.

Database

• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Good knowledge of SQL, database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis is an advantage.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform:
• AWS
• Google Cloud
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Git and Git‑based development workflows.
• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming and SOLID principles.
• Knowledge of design patterns and clean architecture.
• Experience designing scalable and highly available applications.
• Understanding of microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Knowledge of system design and distributed systems.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS is a plus.

Testing & Quality

• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of code quality, static analysis, and secure coding practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI‑assisted development tools.
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Experience with WebSockets or real‑time applications.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
