Job summary

Kohler India is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and lead scalable web applications with cloud backends. You will work closely with the Head of Software, product teams, and hardware/software groups to drive unified libraries and patterns.

You will own setting technical direction, ensure security, and deliver high-quality software across time zones, with up to 10% travel. A Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and 5+ years in software development are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.

Senior Full Stack Engineer

In your role as Sr. Full Stack Engineer, you will:

• Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams
• Design web applications with cloud backend that can scale with the business growth of Kohler Ventures
• Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.
• Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.
• Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebase

Required Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Demonstrated understanding of web application security.
• Experience with Frontend frame NextJS, ReactJS.
• Experience with CSS frameworks and tools such as sass
• Implement responsive designs for various devices and screen resolutions
• Availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.
• Ability to travel 10% of time both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical experience in systems engineering at scale with regards to testing, reliability, security, and observability.
• Champion for quality in code, processes, and culture.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical and management information clearly and concisely.
