Job summary

Skan.ai is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer (5–10 years) to own features end-to-end—from API design to rich React interfaces—driving data-intensive workloads. You will collaborate with product, design, and data engineering to build scalable backend services and analytics dashboards.

Ideal candidates have strong Python backend experience (FastAPI, Django, Flask), React with TypeScript, and deep PostgreSQL skills, plus hands-on data warehouse experience (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift) and

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python - backend APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask; async programming; service architecture.
• Solid React experience - hooks, state management (Context,Redux), component design, TypeScript preferred.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL - schema design, indexing, query optimization, transactions.
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses - Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift; ETL,ELT design and analytical data modeling.
• Ability to own and ship full-stack features independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable full-stack features across the Skan platform — backend APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services (REST APIs, async workers, data processing jobs).
• Work with PostgreSQL for transactional data and contribute to data warehouse design and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build performant, accessible React UIs for dashboards, analytics views, and workflow tools.
• Collaborate with data engineers on dbt models, warehouse schemas, and analytical query optimization.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Full Stack Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will own features end-to-end — from database design and API development to rich React-based interfaces — with a strong emphasis on data-intensive, analytical workloads. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and data engineering to build systems that process and visualize large volumes of behavioral and process data.

What You Will Do

• Design and build scalable full-stack features across the Skan platform — backend APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces
• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services (REST APIs, async workers, data processing jobs)
• Work with PostgreSQL for transactional data and contribute to data warehouse design and ETL,ELT pipelines (Snowflake , BigQuery , Redshift)
• Build performant, accessible React UIs for dashboards, analytics views, and workflow tools
• Collaborate with data engineers on dbt models, warehouse schemas, and analytical query optimization

Must-Have Skills

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python - backend APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask; async programming; service architecture

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
• Familiarity with dbt for data transformation
• Exposure to event-driven systems or streaming (Kafka, Kinesis)
• Experience building data visualization or BI-style dashboards
• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI,CD pipeline experience
• Prior work in a product-led, data-intensive SaaS environment

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days, you will have shipped at least one significant end-to-end feature, understand the Skan data model deeply, and be a trusted contributor in engineering discussions. Within six months, you will be driving technical decisions for your domain and actively elevating the team around you.
