Job summary

SmartStream is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to design and deliver production-grade full-stack applications for agentic AI systems in Mumbai. You will build scalable services that integrate LLMs, tools, APIs, and data platforms, and contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards.

You will translate AI prototypes into reliable, maintainable product components and collaborate closely with Product, AI/ML engineers, and DevOps to productionize features and ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Delivered full-stack applications in production.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Requirements

• Exposure to agentic design patterns (ReAct, tool-use, multi-step reasoning)


• Experience with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)


• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangChain, etc.)


• Experience with Kubernetes or managed container services


• Understanding of authentication, IAM, and enterprise security patterns


• Experience building internal developer tools or AI-powered productivity tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience


• Demonstrated experience delivering full-stack applications in production


• Experience working in cross-functional product teams


• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-evolving technical domains
