Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong, hands-on, versatile, and highly autonomous Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and operate our enterprise People Function Capability Layer. Working within a lean, high-impact team alongside Data Engineers, you will play a dual role: extending backend integration services and enabling data visibility and interaction for business stakeholders. You will be responsible for designing, implementing APIs and building low-code, persona-centric user interfaces (e.g., using Retool) to surface insights and workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, data security, and business continuity in a cloud-native environment. We are seeking someone with strong experience in full-stack development and enterprise application engineering, with a focus on Golang/Python, AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Retool, HTML5, and CSS. The candidate will contribute across design, development, deployment, and lifecycle management of applications and services.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and secure low-latency, scalable RESTful APIs using Golang.
  • Actively contribute to backend service development, supporting event-driven microservices and integration patterns in collaboration with Data Engineers.
  • Develop optimized queries, aggregation logic, and transformation layers to integrate data across relational and NoSQL systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain high-value internal applications tailored to different user personas and workflow needs.
  • Define and enforce technical standards, design patterns, and best practices across development, security, and application architecture.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Drive observability practices using tools such as Datadog and Grafana to monitor application and infrastructure health.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, user-centric solutions delivered on time.
  • Design and manage AWS infrastructure to support highly available, low-latency application workloads.
Must Have Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Golang/Python for backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development, with solid proficiency in HTML5 and CSS for building responsive, user-centric interfaces.
  • Strong experience in API lifecycle management, including schema design, versioning, throttling and payload optimization.
  • Proficiency in Angular for building responsive, scalable front-end applications as part of a full stack development environment.
  • Deep understanding of SOLID principles, dependency injection, and robust error handling patterns.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services – AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, VPC, EKS, ECS, IAM, CloudWatch and cloud-native application design.
  • Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
  • Strong hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Hands-on experience building distributed systems on AWS and containerization using Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of full-stack or software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in full stack development.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications, including backend development (Golang/Python, APIs, microservices) and frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, with strong experience integrating UI layers (e.g., Retool or similar low-code platforms) with distributed, event-driven systems on AWS and Kafka.
Nice to have
  • (Review Certifications) AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent.
