About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to build ultra-fast, resilient, and intuitive web interfaces for a high-scale platform where users interact with multimodal LLMs using video, audio, and text as input. Your work will directly shape how hundreds of thousands of users experience real-time AI feedback and content generation across a wide range of use cases.

You’ll architect performance-optimized applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript delivering rich, dynamic interfaces for capturing and displaying video, audio, and textual interactions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop frontend systems using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript, leveraging SSR, SSG, edge rendering, and advanced code splitting techniques.
• Build responsive, accessible interfaces for uploading and interacting with video, audio, and text inputs, along with real-time display of LLM-generated responses.
• Support long-running job flows with status tracking, retries, progress indicators, polling/websockets, and seamless UX for async inference pipelines.
• Optimize for sub-second loading and global delivery using CDNs (Cloudflare, Akamai) with smart asset prefetching and caching strategies.
• Collaborate closely with backend and ML teams to shape API design, concurrency patterns, and data delivery formats across modalities.
• Implement real-time features using WebSockets, SSE, or hybrid polling mechanisms with robust reconnection/error fallback handling.
• Profile, test, and monitor frontend performance using Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, WebPageTest, Core Web Vitals, and integrate telemetry.
• Create reusable, scalable UI components using atomic design principles and libraries such as ShadCN, Radix UI, Headless UI.
• Maintain frontend test coverage with Playwright, Cypress, and Jest as part of a CI/CD pipeline.

Must-Have Skills

• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with hands-on experience delivering global-scale SPAs and SSR apps.
• Experience with Webpack, Vite, or similar bundlers for tuning performance, output size, and build times.
• Proven ability to build highly-performant UIs that gracefully handle errors, retries, and async workflows under extreme concurrency.
• Familiarity with frontend security (CSP, CORS, XSS prevention) best practices.

Bonus Points

• Experience building interfaces for AI/LLM applications, especially involving multimodal inputs (video, audio, and text).
• Strong product/design collaboration skills, with a UX-first mindset and attention to detail under high-usage conditions.
• Exposure to Node.js APIs, gRPC or GraphQL-based backends, and real-time optimization techniques.
• Experience with PWA performance, mobile-first UI optimization, or cross-platform frameworks like React Native.
