Job summary

Gaia Smart Cities is seeking an experienced Front-end Developer to design and implement scalable enterprise web applications using Angular 14+. You will craft modular UI components, optimize performance, and ensure GIS mapping features integrate smoothly with REST and GraphQL services.

You will collaborate across product, QA, and backend teams in an Agile environment, emphasizing code quality, testing, and CI/CD deployment practices. Strong GIS experience is essential.

Qualifications

6+ years of front-end development experience with at least 4 years in Angular.
Strong expertise in Angular 14 or above.
Must have GIS (Geographic Information Systems) application development experience.
Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
Hands-on experience with RxJS and NgRx.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and GraphQL.
Strong unit testing knowledge (Jasmine, Karma, Jest).
Experience with Angular CLI, npm, Webpack and modern tools.
Cross-browser compatibility and responsive design skills.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Job description

Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular 14 and above.
Build scalable, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces following UI/UX best practices.
Design reusable, modular, and maintainable front-end components.
Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
Collaborate with backend developers, solution architects, QA teams, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.
Optimize application performance, security, and responsiveness.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across browsers and devices.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Contribute to CI/CD implementation and deployment processes.
Develop and support GIS-based web applications and mapping functionalities.

Desired Candidate Profile

6+ years of experience in front-end development with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Angular.
Strong expertise in Angular 14 or above.
Must have experience in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) application development.
