Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with deep expertise in Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking. The role blends software engineering, client-facing consulting, and domain knowledge to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions that accelerate digital transformation and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Software Engineering, Solution Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Forward Deployed Engineering roles.
• Proven experience in Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking domains.
• Deep understanding of banking processes including payments, cash management, liquidity management, treasury operations, trade finance, and corporate banking services.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong SQL, data engineering, and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience building PoCs, prototypes, MVPs, and production-grade solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and production-ready applications.
• Build scalable solutions for Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking use cases.
• Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Analyze large datasets and apply SQL and data analytics to generate insights.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Evaluate and improve architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Support deployment, adoption, and post-production stabilization activities.
• Participate in client workshops, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex banking platform challenges across integrations.
• Drive automation and digital transformation opportunities.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices.
