Job Title: Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Senior FDE)

Role Overview

As a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Senior FDE), you will lead the delivery of enterprise AI solutions by combining deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing leadership. You will serve as the primary technical owner for strategic customer engagements, working alongside Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to translate complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions.

Beyond implementation, you will be expected to lead client conversations, drive solution architecture, mentor engineers, and accelerate enterprise AI adoption through rapid execution. You will act as the bridge between customers, engineering, and product teamsensuring every deployment delivers measurable business value while shaping the future direction of our platform.

Senior FDEs are expected to operate with high ownership, minimal supervision, and exceptional execution speed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Solution Ownership

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI solutions—from discovery and architecture through deployment and production support.
• Own solution architecture, technical decisions, and delivery quality across customer engagements.
• Balance delivery speed, scalability, maintainability, and customer requirements.
• Ensure production-grade implementation aligned with engineering best practices.

2. Customer Leadership & Strategic Communication

• Serve as the primary technical representative during customer engagements.
• Lead customer workshops, technical discussions, solution demonstrations, and implementation reviews.
• Work closely with TPMs to drive successful project execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear business outcomes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with enterprise customers.

3. Rapid Prototyping & Problem Solving

• Build high-quality Proof of Concepts (POCs) and MVPs at exceptional speed.
• Convert ambiguous business requirements into working AI solutions with minimal guidance.
• Iterate rapidly based on customer feedback while maintaining engineering quality.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges across AI models, workflows, integrations, and production deployments.

4. Advanced AI Engineering

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems using LLMs, intelligent agents, workflow orchestration, and enterprise integrations.
• Develop scalable data pipelines, APIs, automation workflows, and backend services.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, cost, reliability, and maintainability.
• Integrate with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.

5. Delivery Excellence & Team Enablement

• Mentor and guide Forward Deployed AI Engineers on architecture, implementation, and customer engagement.
• Establish reusable deployment frameworks, implementation patterns, and technical best practices.
• Improve engineering velocity through documentation, tooling, and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes.

6. Product & Customer Feedback Loop

• Capture deployment learnings and customer feedback to influence product roadmap and platform capabilities.
• Identify recurring customer challenges and convert them into reusable platform features.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant experience delivering enterprise solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Deep expertise in AI/LLM technologies, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and modern AI ecosystems (LangChain, ADK, Gemini, OpenAI APIs, MCP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience building production-grade AI applications and deploying them at scale.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience working directly with enterprise customers.
